WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Oct. 03, 2023 – Tessie Bellarmine, vice president of insurance process and performance for CSAA Insurance Group, was named among the Most Influential Women in Bay Area Business by the San Francisco Business Times. The award recognizes Bay Area women who have made a difference as outstanding leaders in their organizations and communities, representing public and private companies, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and government entities.
“It is rewarding to see Tessie included on this prestigious list of leaders committed to business excellence,” said Bob Valliere, executive vice president of Insurance Operations. “For more than 15 years, she has helped reimagine how we can effectively serve our members throughout Northern California and beyond.”
Bellarmine joined the company in 2009, beginning her career as a business solutions manager, and now serving as the strategic leader of business architecture, performance data analytics and operational risk management. With over two decades of insurance experience, she leads the company’s digital product transformation related to billing and payments, risk, controls, business architecture, data and analytics and automation. She is currently leading a critical business transformation endeavor that seeks to revolutionize our customer service through the integration of intelligent automation and AI/ML technologies.

Bellarmine graduated from Madras University with a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and has an MBA from the Loyola Institute of Business Administration. She has also studied Product Management at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Management, and Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Blockchain Disruption at the MIT Sloan School of Management. She currently serves as a board member of Meals on Wheels, Diablo Region.
