This week, in a letter to our employees, many of whom are deeply concerned about the recent rise in hateful speech and actions, I reaffirmed our commitment to diversity and inclusion (below). I wanted to take this moment to reiterate here that our commitment to diversity spans the marketplace, workplace and workforce. Where do we stand, and what do we stand for? We value diversity and inclusion – it’s one of our core values. Diversity helps inform the decisions we make and inspires us to work harder to serve customers better.

The troubling rise of hateful speech across our country in recent weeks and months presents an opportunity to reaffirm our values at CSAA Insurance Group. In addition to being caring, we value diversity and inclusion. Not only is this the right thing to do, but it is important to serving the diverse needs of our customers and the long-term success of our company which relies on different backgrounds, experiences and ideas to support continuous improvement and innovation.
I’m proud of our track record of inclusiveness and of our comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategy, which embraces the workplace, workforce and marketplace. And, I’m thankful for our Employee Resource Groups and Regional Diversity Councils, which do so much to set the tone for an environment in which we can all bring our “whole selves” to work. This work is very much appreciated and an important part of our company’s identity.
