WALNUT CREEK, Calif., November 15, 2013 — CSAA Insurance Group President and CEO Paula Downey is among a select group of Bay Area leaders recognized by the San Francisco Business Times as the region’s “Most Admired CEOs.”
Eleven Bay Area CEOs were recognized for their leadership, vision and values during a reception at the Four Seasons hotel in San Francisco Tuesday evening. Downey was specifically honored for her “corporate citizenship,” an honor that has special meaning to her given AAA’s longstanding commitment to service and corporate responsibility.
“I have a simple formula for success,” she told the San Francisco Business Times in an article published today. “Highly engaged employees lead to highly satisfied customers.”
Under Downey’s leadership, CSAA Insurance Group has built on its 100-year history of responsible corporate citizenship. In addition to a generous employee matching charitable gifts program, the company provides employees with 24 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer with nonprofit organizations. CSAA Insurance Group also created and funds the Community Safety Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to improving the safety and security of our communities.
Downey was the only woman among the evening’s honorees. The other CEOs honored included the leaders of Autodesk and Del Monte Foods.
