CSAA Insurance Group Donates to Stop Hunger Now


WALNUT CREEK, Calif., February 16, 2015 –CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, announced a $100,000 donation to Stop Hunger Now, an international hunger relief non-profit that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food. This donation funds 300,000 meals that will be packaged by CSAA Insurance Group employees and shipped to vulnerable children and families in the United States and around the world.

CSAA Insurance Group’s award-winning corporate volunteer program will engage its 3,600 employees to package the meals throughout 2015, committing at least 10,000 hours of company time. The partnership was officially launched last month when 400 company managers met for their annual leadership conference and packaged almost 29,000 meals.

“We’re honored to be teaming up with CSAA Insurance Group to make a hands-on impact on global hunger,” said Rod Brooks, Stop Hunger Now President and CEO. “This generous donation will provide life-sustaining nourishment to children seeking a better life across the developing world.”

“We are proud to support an organization that works to end hunger and raise awareness of hunger issues,” said Danielle Cagan, corporate communications and public affairs executive of CSAA IG. “In addition to their ongoing feeding program, Stop Hunger Now provides meals around the world when disasters hit. They have helped victims of Superstorm Sandy and Typhoon Haiyan, among so many others.”
