WALNUT CREEK, Calif., January 19, 2016 – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, opened its doors to the parents of employees in a “Bring Your Parents to Work Day” celebration. This inaugural event offers insight into the company culture and industry, and provides parents with a better understanding of their daughter’s or son’s job.
“We’re excited to welcome parents and offer a behind-the scenes look at the important work our employees perform in service to AAA members,” said Danielle Cagan, corporate communications and public affairs executive for CSAA Insurance Group. “It’s also a chance for our employees to say thank you for the support and career insights their parents have shared throughout their lives.”
As many as 80 employees and their parents are expected to participate in the event, which will include an orientation and history of the more than 100-year-old company, an overview of the insurance industry, and a guided tour of the environmentally-friendly headquarters building, which is built to LEED Gold standards.
Employees and their parents will also participate side-by-side in a meal-packaging volunteer activity benefiting Stop Hunger Now, a nonprofit organization devoted to ending global hunger. CSAA Insurance Group has a long history of community service, receiving numerous awards for its charitable programs, including being named as one of the 50 most civic-minded companies in America by Points of Light and Bloomberg, LP. Last year, 98 percent of employees volunteered in the community, including contributing more than 2,000 volunteer hours to package 338,000 meals for Stop Hunger Now.
Bring Your Parents to Work Day takes place from 8:30 AM to noon at CSAA Insurance Group headquarters, 3055 Oak Road, Walnut Creek, CA.
