WALNUT CREEK, Calif., March 27, 2013 – Once again, the AAA Northern California, Nevada & Utah Insurance Exchange, a major provider of AAA-branded insurance, is being awarded a perfect score of 100 percent by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) on its Corporate Equality Index.
The 2013 edition of the index rates employers on a scale from 0 to 100 percent on their treatment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers, and investors. This year, 688 businesses were rated. Only 252 earned the top rating of 100 percent. The Corporate Equality Index (CEI) included company ratings on 40 specific policies and practices. Ratings are based on factors like non-discrimination policies, diversity training, and benefits for domestic partners and transgender employees.

The Human Rights Campaign is America’s largest civil rights organization, working to achieve gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender equality.
