CSAA Insurance Group Financial Leader Appointed to the California Organized Investment Network

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., February 17, 2016 – Lincoln Walworth, an investments executive for CSAA Insurance Group, has been appointed to the advisory board of the California Organized Investment Network (COIN). Since 1997, COIN has provided insurers with guidance on making investments that benefit underserved and rural communities, as well as the environment. In 2015, CSAA Insurance Group was recognized for investing millions to support COIN projects that rehabilitated affordable rental housing units, and included provisions for residents with special needs, homelessness and mental illness.

“It gives me great pleasure to appoint Lincoln Walworth to the COIN advisory board,” said California State Insurance Commissioner, Dave Jones. “As a seasoned investment executive with impressive insurance industry credentials, his financial expertise will contribute greatly to the board’s commitment to serving the needs of Californians.”

The COIN advisory board includes the Insurance Commissioner and several other leaders in the insurance industry and economic development sector. As member of the board, Walworth will help identify insurance investments that provide fair returns to investors and social benefits to communities, while ensuring that the organization’s policies and procedures remain mission-consistent.

“By providing financial guidance that serves neighborhoods and communities, the California Organized Investment Network helps improve the lives for many,” said Walworth. “To date, COIN has delivered an estimated $20 billion to address important statewide community development needs, and I am glad to support this important effort.”

Walworth joined CSAA Insurance Group in 2004, and is responsible for managing a diverse, $6 billion investment portfolio. He has more than 25 years of experience managing a wide variety of complex investment and corporate financial problems, and holds an MBA in international finance from the University of California at Berkeley.
