WALNUT CREEK, Calif., September 1, 2016 – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, thanks its 2016 internship class for their exceptional work this past Summer. From May to August, a select group of students from around the country were invited to gain hands-on experience in the insurance industry and contribute to the company’s corporate and social responsibility efforts. Upon completion of these paid, full-time jobs, some individuals were extended offers of full-time employment.
“My experience here has given me invaluable insight on what it is like to work in a corporate environment,” said Ayden Stockton, a graphic designer who interned with Digital Services. “I was able to work closely with my team to make prototypes and assets for some of the digital products CSAA Insurance Group offers. This experience opened up a lot of future opportunities for me and revealed a career path that I might not have explored otherwise.”
The CSAA Insurance Group internship program is designed to help talented individuals thrive. College-age students are immersed in challenging work, helping them activate their potential and explore career opportunities within the organization. They execute projects in underwriting, insurance claims, information technology, and actuarial analytics. The program also provides CSAA Insurance Group with a talent incubator in which managers identify future employees, provide mentorship and strengthen our brand.

CSAA Insurance Group interns work in our major locations in California, Colorado, Arizona, New Jersey, Nevada and Oklahoma, and are recruited from universities across the country.
Beyond the opportunity to gain valuable job skills and make important career connections, interns also participate in company-sponsored volunteer events, like crayon sorting with The Crayon Initiative. The remanufactured crayon packs produced from these efforts are donated to hospital pediatric wards around the country.
