WALNUT CREEK, Calif., January 21, 2015 – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, has been awarded Platinum Level – the highest level possible – in the American Heart Association’s Fit-Friendly Company program. The program recognizes companies that create a culture of wellness in their workplace. This is the fifth year in a row that CSAA Insurance Group has been selected for the Fit-Friendly award – and its first Platinum recognition.

To move up to Platinum Level from Gold, companies must meet specific criteria. CSAA Insurance Group qualified by increasing financial incentives to employees for participating in wellness programs. For example, employees were able to earn $250 Health Savings Account contributions from the company for participating in biometric screenings (testing glucose and cholesterol levels, as well as blood pressure and Body Mass Index).

CSAA Insurance Group will be recognized along with all other San Francisco Bay Area Fit Friendly Companies at the American Heart Association’s Greater Bay Area Heart Walk in the fall.
