WALNUT CREEK, Calif., May 22, 2019 – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, announced that Paul Acevedo has been promoted to executive vice president and chief information officer.

As a member of the organization's executive leadership team, Acevedo leads CSAA Insurance Group's technology organization, responsible for consumer- and agent-facing digital experiences, data and analytics platforms, core application systems (policy, claims, financial and HR), information security and foundational infrastructure.
"Almost every aspect of every product or service we offer today or in the future depends on technology," said Acevedo. "We're transforming how we build and deliver IT products for all our customers, with the flexibility needed to quickly adapt to change. There are tremendous market opportunities we can pursue, and I'm excited about the pivotal role that IT can play in doing so."
Acevedo joined CSAA Insurance Group in 2011 and has served in executive leadership roles for digital, data, telematics, and business architecture. Prior to that, he held product and marketing leadership positions at startup and established technology companies – including BMC Software, ITM Software, Sun Microsystems and Terraspring – developing a range of enterprise software and cloud infrastructure solutions. He received a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, a master's degree in electrical engineering from Syracuse University, and an MBA from Stanford University.
