WALNUT CREEK, Calif., January 6, 2017 – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2017 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), extending a longstanding record of qualifying as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality” as recognized by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). Now in its fifteenth year, the CEI is a national benchmarking survey and report administered by HRC on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality. CSAA Insurance Group has received a perfect score since 2005.

The CEI evaluates corporate LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, and public engagement with the LGBT community. CSAA Insurance Group joins more than 500 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year.

The HRC CEI survey is the primary source of information for the Corporate Equality Index rating, and helps gauge trends and best practices among all businesses or within particular industries. The survey criteria are designed to encourage employers to participate in the index and to advance best practices for LGBT workplace inclusion. The criteria are intended to evolve as more employers adopt existing criteria and new best practices emerge.
