WALNUT CREEK, Calif., September 4, 2017 – The Colorado Springs office of CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, was recently honored with the Halo Award from Health Links, a program of the Center for Health, Work & Environment at the Colorado School of Public Health. The Halo Award is Health Links’ most esteemed award, and recognizes the business that best demonstrates an effort to improve the health, safety and well-being of employees, families and members of the Colorado community.
“CSAA Insurance Company has a long tradition of helping people – assisting AAA members in times of need and helping to build stronger communities,” said Rachel Miegel, wellness program strategist. “We prioritize being a healthy place to work because we recognize that creating a positive workplace for employees creates positive results for our customers.”
CSAA Insurance Group’s comprehensive wellness program includes onsite fitness classes and wellness coordinators, as well as an online wellness portal with customized health and safety activities. Employees earn wellness points by participating in health-related activities and events, and can redeem points for gift cards, wellness devices and more.
Volunteerism and social responsibility are also key components of CSAA Insurance Group’s wellness efforts. For example, employees receive company contributions to a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) for participating in health-related programs including volunteer activities, verified workouts, preventative screens, disease management programs and more.
To be eligible for the Halo Award, businesses must complete Health Links’ assessment, an evidence-based questionnaire used to certify organizations as Healthy Businesses. CSAA Insurance Group was recognized at the Colorado’s Healthiest Places to Work event on August 17 in Denver.
