WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Sept. 5, 2018 – CSAA Insurance Group has named Junna Ro vice president of corporate compliance and employment law. For the past six years, she has led the corporate compliance and ethics function for the company, which offers AAA-branded property casualty insurance in 23 states the District of Columbia.
In addition to maintaining oversight of regulatory compliance and ethics, Ro will now manage the employment law team, which provides strategic business and legal advice to the company on labor, employment, and benefits matters; and handles the company’s custodian of records function.
“Junna is an exceptional lawyer, and ideally suited to oversee our focus on integrity and commitment to ethical business practices,” said Mike Zukerman, executive vice president and general counsel for CSAA Insurance Group. “Her business leadership and legal expertise, as well as the contributions of our entire legal team, bolster our ongoing pursuit of innovative ways to address existing and emerging customer needs.”
Ro joined the company in 2005 as senior counsel, and has served as lead attorney for the employment law team. In 2014, she was selected to join the company’s inaugural cohort of the Women’s Professional Network, which focused on developing leadership skills and creating an environment where diverse voices can be heard.

Ro serves on the board of the Bay Area Ethics & Compliance Association (BECA), and is co-chair and a founding member of the National Association for Diversity in Compliance (NADC). She also sits on the advisory council for the Asian Pacific Fund, is a member of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), and a member and past board director of the Korean American Bar Association of Northern California.
Ro earned her JD from Santa Clara University School of Law, and her BA in Political Science from UCLA. Previously, she served as Corporate Counsel for Symantec Corporation and VERITAS Software.
