WALNUT CREEK, Calif., September 16, 2015 – Linda Goldstein, vice president of channels and partner marketing for CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, is joining the board of directors as president for Berkeley Humane.
Since 1927, Berkeley Humane has provided care and shelter for animals in need, and was the first veterinary hospital in the East Bay to provide veterinary services exclusively for homeless animals. Supported by thousands of supporters and volunteers, the organization found homes for more than 1,000 dogs and cats in 2014 through its successful adoption services.
“We are honored that Linda Goldstein has agreed to become our board president in service of companion animals in the East Bay,” said Jeffrey Zerwekh, executive director of Berkeley Humane. “Linda’s extensive business experience and polished marketing expertise will strategically lead our mission of providing life-saving programs for cats and dogs.”
CSAA Insurance Group has a long history of partnering with Bay Area nonprofits to provide financial and volunteer support, and encourages employees to get involved in their communities. Last year, in addition to financial contributions, CSAA Insurance Group employees logged nearly 35,000 hours of volunteer service for local charities, earning the Communitas and Bay Area Corporate Community Involvement awards.
“I have always been passionate about dogs and cats – and have a special soft spot for those that have been abandoned,” said Goldstein. “It is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream to channel my love for animals into helping them find permanent new homes.”
Goldstein joined CSAA Insurance Group in 2013 to oversee the optimization and scaling of direct sales and marketing programs. She possesses more than two decades of business leadership experience, including data driven marketing, channel strategy, and profit and loss management.
