WALNUT CREEK, Calif., April 11, 2016 – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA Insurer, today announced the appointment of J. Paul McCaffrey Jr. as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
With more than 25 years of industry experience, McCaffrey most recently served as the executive vice president, CFO and treasurer at Grange Insurance, a Columbus, Ohio based insurance company with $2 billion in assets and more than $1 billion in annual revenue. At Grange Insurance McCaffrey was responsible for all financial aspects of the company including investments, risk management, actuarial, accounting, corporate planning, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Grange Insurance in 2006, he was a senior manager with Ernst & Young and held finance roles with International Total Services, Revco D.S., and Sherwin-Williams.
McCaffrey earned his MBA with an accounting concentration and B.S. in finance at the University of Akron. His certifications include certified public accountant, certified internal auditor, chartered property casualty underwriter, associate in risk management, and associate in reinsurance.
He has served as a board member of the Grange Mutual Casualty Company and Subsidiaries, the Grange Life Reinsurance Company, and the Grange Mutual Casualty Company Employee Credit Union. He is a board member of Flying Horse Farms, former President of the Columbus Chapter of the Insurance Accounting and Systems Association, and former board member and treasurer of the Furniture Bank of Central Ohio.
