AAA Insurer honored with Silver Award for Workplace Health & Wellbeing
Walnut Creek, Calif., Sept. 1, 2022 – CSAA Insurance Group received a Silver Stevie® Award in the seventh annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers. The awards recognize the world’s best employers and the human resources professionals, teams, achievements and HR-related products and suppliers who help to create and drive great places to work. CSAA was recognized in the “Achievement in Workplace Health & Wellbeing” category.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, CSAA’s “Living Healthy at AAA” wellbeing program, which began in 2009, evolved to serve home-based employees. The original three pillars of wellbeing – physical, mental, and financial – were supplemented with “social wellbeing” as a fourth program pillar. Living Healthy at AAA now includes quarterly virtual listening sessions, counselor-led debriefing sessions, and employee-focused “Mental Health First Aid” training, a national program to teach the skills to respond to the signs of mental illness and substance use. The company also focuses on addressing social determinants of health and health equity to increase preventive care utilization.

More than 950 nominations from organizations of all sizes in 26 nations were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of HR-related categories. CSAA Insurance Group was the only insurance company with more than 2,500 employees to receive Silver recognition for Workplace Health & Wellbeing.
