AAA Insurer ranked second for companies with 1,500-4,999 employees
WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Sept. 15, 2022 – CSAA Insurance Group has been recognized as one of the “2022 Healthiest Employers” in New Jersey, an awards program honoring people-first organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employee population. Placing second overall among New Jersey Companies with 1,500-4,999 employees, CSAA’s Living Healthy at AAA well-being program was recognized for its commitment to workplace well-being and exceptional health and benefit offerings.
“Prior to the pandemic, our well-being program was heavily focused on in-office programs, but since has shifted to a national model available to all employees,” said Chris Lassalle, senior director, Benefits and Leave Management. “By promoting and encouraging participation and engagement, regardless of location, we are driving better health outcomes throughout our workforce.”
CSAA offers generous well-being incentives for all employees (participation in a company-sponsored health plan is not required). Employees can earn up to $500 in cash incentives annually, including a $200 annual fitness reimbursement. Workers can earn an additional $20 per month by logging 20 days of exercise that includes 10,000 steps and 30 workout minutes. Increased flexibility, work-life balance, and mental health resources are also prioritized at CSAA, and were identified as common trends among Healthiest Employers honorees.
Award applicants were evaluated across six key categories: Culture and Leadership, Foundational Components, Strategic Planning, Communication and Marketing, Programming and Interventions, and Reporting and Analytics. Completed assessments were ranked with the proprietary Healthiest Employers® Index, a 1-100 rubric for wellness programming. The survey is scored and powered by Springbuk, a health intelligence platform that simplifies data-driven decision-making with an intuitive user experience, predictive modeling, and curated action steps.
