WALNUT CREEK, Calif., Oct. 15, 2021 – Stan Michael, a supervising attorney with CSAA Insurance Group, was named a 2021 In-House Trailblazer by Corporate Counsel magazine. Michael was honored for spearheading the implementation of a subrogation data-capture process that preserves evidence for potential downstream litigation.
“This honor is welcome recognition for the collaborative accomplishments I’ve realized with my legal and claims colleagues at CSAA Insurance Group,” said Michael. “By taking an innovative approach to our subrogation process, we can better ensure positive, fair and equitable outcomes for our customers and our business.”
The In-House Trailblazers award recognizes law professionals who have made significant contributions to practice, policy and technology. First announced in 2013, it honors pioneering legal accomplishments in a variety of sectors including governance, intellectual property, risk and compliance, and subrogation.
Michael joined CSAA Insurance Group in 1990, and transitioned to subrogation litigation after working as an insurance defense litigator. In addition to managing an active litigation practice, he currently provides legal oversight and guidance for the company’s subrogation claims and serves as legal advisor to other members of the legal team, including the Senior Vice President of Corporate Litigation and other senior executives.
