CSAA Insurance Group Announces New Promotions

 

 

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., September 23, 2021 – CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, has announced new promotions to lead its product management division and newly formed Enterprise Strategic Initiatives Office (ESIO). Laurna Castillo has been named senior vice president of state product management and Rick Lanter senior vice president of product strategy and development, while Lisa Figgins and Chris Kesterson have been named co-leaders of the new ESIO.

 

“We are excited to announce the promotions of Laurna, Rick, Lisa and Chris, as these business leaders will help us continue to think big and move fast,” said Ryan Vigus, executive vice president of Personal Lines Product Management at CSAA Insurance Group. “These experienced individuals are well positioned to helps us achieve our goals and position us for success.”

In her new role, Castillo will be leading CSAA IG’s State Product Management and Agency Administration and Experience teams, who are responsible for the performance of personal lines insurance products across CSAA IG’s markets. She has a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, and is an associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society.

Lanter will lead the strategy, design, development and deployment of CSAA IG’s personal lines insurance products and features. He has a master’s in business administration from Yale University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga.

 

CSAA IG also launched the cross-functional ESIO, which will enable growth and transformation by bringing process discipline, financial rigor, and cross-divisional transparency to initiative delivery. The ESIO will be led by Personal Lines Product Management Vice President Lisa Figgins and Information Technology Vice President Chris Kesterson.

Lisa Figgins serves as the strategic business leader of the ESIO. She has been with CSAA IG more than 10 years, holding leadership roles in product management and product development. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business and finance from California State University, Sacramento.

Chris Kesterson has been with CSAA IG for more than 17 years and has played a critical role in a wide range of key strategic initiatives. Chris is a certified Scrum Master and Scrum Product Owner and has a property and casualty agent/broker license.
