AAA Home Insurance Wildfire Protection Discounts
Since 2021, AAA Home Insurance has offered discounts for policyholders intended to reward efforts to make their homes and communities safer from wildfires.
My Home Hardening Discount
What is the discount?
For AAA Home Insurance policies with an effective date of 10/10/25 and later, or AAA Rental Property Insurance policies with an effective date of 1/1/2026 and later, customers are eligible to receive the “My Home Hardening” discount. Please see the chart below:

How can I earn the discount?
Any eligible AAA Home Insurance or AAA Rental Property Insurance customer may apply for the discount. Qualifying hardening efforts include fire-resistant vents, multi-pane windows, the removal of flammable materials, and designation as an IBHS Prepared Home, Certified Fire Risk Reduction Community, or Firewise USA Site.
If applicable, the community hardening designation discounts are automatically applied to your policy.
There are two ways to obtain the property level home hardening measure discounts:
Option 1: Obtain an IBHS designation.
Customers who obtain an IBHS Wildfire Prepared Home designation are eligible for the discount and do not need to complete the inspection form. To pursue this designation, please work directly with IBHS. Once completed, contact your local AAA insurance agent or call (800) 922-8228 to apply the discount.
Option 2: Complete and submit this form, or submit a form from your local fire professional.
If you are not pursuing an IBHS designation, you may have your property evaluated and the required form completed by a qualified wildfire professional. The following organizations, professionals, or vendors may be able to assist:
Your local fire department
A Fire Safe Council representative
Madronus***

Use of Madronus is optional, and you are not required to use Madronus to request or qualify for a wildfire mitigation discount. You may be able to qualify for one or more individual discounts, but the discount(s) may vary. Please see your notice for more detail.
