CSAA Insurance Group may provide no-cost wildfire protection services to help policyholders prevent, prepare for and recover from life’s uncertainties. CSAA Insurance Group may partner with vendors to provide wildfire suppression and structural protection services.

Some of the services provided during an active wildfire may include:

• Non-destructive fuel mitigation around the property
• Relocation of combustible items or furniture around the outside of the home
• Sprinkler system setup
• Sealing non‐mechanical home vents with fire resistive tape
• Application of non-hazardous and biodegradable fire‐blocking gel and/or retardant
• Protecting structures from post‐fire residual threats

Who performs the service?

CSAA Insurance Group may use a vendor to provide wildfire suppression and structural protection services. CSAA Insurance Group may choose to partner with additional vendor(s) depending on the event or wildfire activity.

The vendor is not a first responder and their services are supplemental to all other public wildfire responders.

When are the services provided?

Services may be deployed to your property when it is determined that an active wildfire has the potential to threaten your property.

There may be instances when the vendor will not be able to provide their services, such as when there are multiple fires or an area becomes too dangerous for their firefighters to enter. We cannot guarantee that the services will be provided or that they will prevent fire damage or loss from occurring.

How do I enroll in the service?

Eligible policies are automatically enrolled in the service through an endorsement on your AAA Home Insurance policy. If you have previously opted out of the service and would like to re-enroll, please contact an Insurance Specialist at 800.922.8228 or your agent to add the endorsement to your policy.

How much does it cost to enroll in the service?

The service is provided to you at no additional cost.

Will enrolling in this service affect my insurance rates?

No. The program is available at no additional cost, and there isn't a discount for enrolling.

Do I need to contact CSAA Insurance Group when a wildfire occurs?

CSAA Insurance Group monitors all wildfire activity and will coordinate response activity for properties actively threatened by wildfires.

My property is not at risk of wildfire, why are you providing me this service?

The areas affected by wildfire are increasing at a rapid pace due to higher temperatures, drying conditions, and urban expansion. This service is activated only if your property becomes at risk to an active wildfire.

Am I required to be enrolled in this service?

You may opt-out of this service by contacting us at 800.922.8228. Requests must be made by the policyholder for each property with a AAA Home Insurance policy. CSAA Insurance Group will complete the endorsement to remove your enrollment from the service and send an updated declarations page to the mailing address on file.

I have a AAA membership, is this service available for my property?
